The session started again at 8am in the Empire Theatre, and the district awards were given out. (My club, Jindalee, won the award for the best bulletin.) Afterwards, we heard from the next key note speaker, Peter Baines, who was fantastic! He told us about the project he was involved in, Hands Across the Water, which built an orphanage for the children Taiwan after the tsunami.

He was working as a disaster management specialist for the Australian police in Phucket, and he told a very moving story. He was the best speaker of the whole conference, I would say!
That was mostly it for the conference, so we headed back to Brisbane.
I took a nice long nap when I got home. =D
